“I spent a week in Minnesota for seminary directly after my time in Guatemala. You were totally right about the books. I wasn’t expecting that many kids but we ran out of books in the first 10 minutes of VBS. It was an incredible trip but I was wishing we had at least another hundred books to hand out. They loved them though and in addition to spending some time coloring pictures, we read through The Most Important Story books in small groups giving kids a chance to play different roles and read out loud in front of their friends. They took them home to their parents and I saw many parents and grandparents reading to smaller kids.”
