The world counted down the years, months and days until Hong Kong would be formally turned back to communist China after 100 years. As June 30, 1997 approached, Luis Palau, his team, and the churches of Hong Kong arranged the last public evangelistic crusades to take place in April 1997 before Hong Kong became China once again. We had the privilege of providing 100,000 copies of The Most Important Story in Chinese throughout Hong Kong, and it was the special Gospel presentation given out at the children’s crusade with 20,000 Chinese youth. The hundreds of churches in Hong Kong saw many lives changed through the Crusade and tens of thousands who heard the Gospel in a free Hong Kong for the last time.
